Melee Expertise +X: Choose a specific melee weapon(like Longsword, Warhammer, or Spear). You gain a +X to damage rolls made with that weapon.

Armor Expertise +X: Choose a weapon type(Smashy, slashy, smacky, etc.). So long as your armor provides 2 dice or more of protection, you gain a +X to your soak for the round each time a weapon of that type successfully hits you.

Ranged Expertise +X: Choose a specific ranged weapon(like crossbow, sniper rifle, or shotgun). You gain a +X to rolls to hit made with that weapon.
